The terms.

Last updated 21 October 2026draft — under legal review

Draft. This page is being reviewed by a lawyer and isn’t in force yet. Nothing here is a promise until the mark comes off. Questions in the meantime: hello@hitthreshold.com.

These terms are the deal between you and Threshold when you use Glint, this website and the account that comes with it. Short where we can be. The parts that matter most are about money, about helpers, and about what Glint can get wrong.

1The agreement

“Glint” means the Mac app, this website, your account and the services behind them. “We” and “Threshold” means legal entity name, registered address, country. By creating an account or using Glint you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Glint. You must be 18 or older (founder: age limit) and able to enter a contract where you live.

2Your account

You sign in with an email code, or with Google or Apple where offered. Keep your sign-in to yourself: what happens under your account is on you. One person per account. If you think someone else is using it, tell us at hello@hitthreshold.com.

3Plans, ink and billing

4The student offer

Students with a school email get Plus for $9 a month for 6 months, after which the regular Plus price applies unless you cancel first. One per person, not combinable with other discounts, verified by school email. Founder: which address domains count, and what happens when in-app verification replaces the email. We can end the offer, or a particular discount, if the verification turns out to be false.

5Acceptable use

Use Glint for yourself, on Macs and in accounts you’re allowed to control. Don’t use it to break the law, harm or harass people, send spam, or get around anyone else’s security or terms. Don’t try to extract our keys, reverse-engineer the service, resell it, share an account, or automate it to run tasks at scale. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

6Helpers, agent actions and approvals

Helpers are the part of Glint that acts: they open apps, click, type, write files, browse the web and use the apps you connect. They do what you ask the way an assistant would, and like an assistant they can misunderstand or make mistakes. Before a helper sends a message, posts, pays or deletes something, Glint shows you an Allow card and waits for you.

You’re responsible for the instructions you give, for checking results before relying on them, and for what helpers do in accounts you connect. Don’t connect accounts you don’t own or aren’t allowed to automate. Keep backups of anything important: helpers can edit and delete files when you ask them to.

7Other companies’ services

Glint runs on OpenAI’s models, Composio’s app connections and Stripe’s payments. Their availability and terms affect Glint, and the apps you connect (Gmail, Slack and others) have their own terms, which you agree to directly. We’re not responsible for those services.

8Your content and ours

What you show and tell Glint, and what helpers make for you, is yours. You give us only the permission we need to process it so Glint can work, as described in the privacy policy. Glint, its character, the site and the software are ours, licensed to you for personal use while you have an account, not sold. Our name and Glint’s likeness can’t be used without permission.

9Changes and availability

Glint is new and changes often. We may add, change or remove features, models and limits, and the service may be down for maintenance or when a provider is down. We’ll tell you about changes that make a paid plan worse before they apply, and you can cancel.

10What Glint can get wrong

Glint is AI. It can be confidently wrong about what’s on your screen, what a button does, a fact or a number. Nothing it says is medical, legal, tax or financial advice; its stock cards and research briefs are information, not a recommendation to buy or sell. Check before you act, especially with money, health, or anything that can’t be undone.

To the extent the law allows, Glint is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Lawyer: warranty disclaimer wording and the consumer-law carve-outs per jurisdiction.

11Limitation of liability

Lawyer: liability cap and exclusions. A common shape is liability limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, no liability for indirect or consequential loss, and the carve-outs the law doesn’t allow to be excluded.

12Ending things

You can delete your account in Settings → Account at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where we can give it. The sections that by their nature should survive (your content and ours, what Glint can get wrong, liability, governing law) do.

13Governing law and disputes

Lawyer: governing law, venue and any dispute-resolution clause, plus the consumer-protection rules that override a choice of law for EU/UK customers.

14Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. For changes that matter we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect; using Glint after that means you accept them.
