Draft. This page is being reviewed by a lawyer and isn’t in force yet. Nothing here is a promise until the mark comes off. Questions in the meantime: hello@hitthreshold.com.

Glint is a little paper buddy that lives on your Mac. To help, it has to look at your screen and listen to you — so this page says exactly when it does, where that data goes, and how to make it go away. It’s written to be read.

1Who we are

Glint and this website are made by Threshold. Founder: legal entity name, registered address and country. For anything about your data, write to hello@hitthreshold.com. Lawyer: add a data-protection contact or an EU/UK representative if one is required.

2The short version

3What we collect, where it goes, how long it stays

“Your Mac” means it never leaves your computer. “Where it goes” names the company that processes it for us; section 5 says who they are.

4The permissions Glint asks for

macOS asks you before Glint can use any of these. You can take each one back in System Settings → Privacy & Security at any time, and Glint keeps working with whatever you leave on. The support page shows where every switch lives.

5Who processes data for us

We don’t sell your data, run ads, or share it with anyone except these companies, each doing one job under its own terms:

Our servers are in the United States. Lawyer: the transfer mechanism for EU/UK users, and whether a data-processing agreement is in place with each processor.

6Deleting your data

7Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy, object to or restrict some processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Write to hello@hitthreshold.com and we’ll answer within the time the law gives us. Lawyer: tailor this section to the laws that apply (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and others), state the legal basis for each processing purpose, and confirm Threshold’s role as controller.

8Children

Glint is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Founder: keep 18+, or allow 13–17 with parental consent? Lawyer: the age rules per jurisdiction. We don’t knowingly collect data from children; if you think we have, email us and we’ll delete it.

9Security

Data travels over encrypted connections. Sign-in tokens live in the macOS Keychain. Our database only lets you read your own rows. The keys for OpenAI, Composio and Stripe stay on our servers and never ship inside the app. No system is perfectly secure; if you find a problem, email hello@hitthreshold.com and we’ll take it seriously.

10Changes to this policy

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters — new data, a new processor — we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
